National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria
The National Archaeological Museum (MArRC), located in the Piacentini Palace next to Piazza De Nava, is the city's most renowned attraction both in Italy and abroad. It houses the famous Riace Bronzes, two 5th-century BC Greek bronze sculptures recovered from the sea. The collection spans four themed levels, showcasing the history of Magna Graecia with pieces like the Pinakes of Locri, the Philosopher's Head, and the Kouros of Reggio. Open daily except Mondays, with continuous hours, it is just a short walk from your accommodation.
